After you fixed DW do you still get nervous

Everyone who has had DW knows which bump or road will set off DW. I am wondering if you are still looking to see if you get DW again or you just drive the truck now and don't think twice about it??

I just keep my fingers out of the steering wheel spokes - I work with my hands for a living!

To be honest though, for a while there, I wanted to keep a toilet paper dispenser in the call box on the side of the road after that bump..

Death wobble. It's a wonderful sensation that you feel when the frontend of your truck is bouncing out of control.

I forgot all about that I haven't ssen a post on it in a while. I never had a problem but I think it was more prone to the SWB trucks

i got a DRW and i still have DW, it sucks!!!
my hands hurt when i get to work from holding the steering wheel so tied. i stay in the right lane in the expressway so i can pull over fast in case i get the dw when i hit a bump.

Its been over two years since I fixed mine and I still think about it on big bumps and in places that I used to get it. Its been a nice two years not having to think about it as much.

My GOD! I have a 96 4x4 it had the DW BAD!!!!! I had the front end rebuilt, new tires and all was good. I have been away for quite a long time. Got on the site to search brakes and thought why not just lurk. Then I find that the DW is still around. What the h#ll is Dodges problem? Why is this problem not corrected? I will step off of my soapbox now. Sheesh.

I agree BoDiesel! As soon as someone dies from it and sues the pants off Dodge- then they'll fix it. Since it is a documented problem with a Dodge Safety Bulletin issued to fix it- they'd have a hard time saying they didn't know about it!!!!

And yes- every time I head down the mountain and pick up speed I wonder which bump will be THE ONE. I hold that wheel really tightly when I see rough road up ahead. At least it's better now since it's been almost a year- I don't break out in a cold sweat at speeds over 55mph anymore!! LOL

scary

funny this thread came up. a couple weeks ago i was doing over 100 and all of a sudden the front end starts shaking so i hit the brake in a hurry, and it really didnt help, im thinking what in the world. So i take the next step and start downshifting with the tow haul button it eventually calmed down. Wow what a feeling. I drove a 16 bay pepsi truck for a while that did the same thing, now thats really scary.
