Aeroturbine muffler
Has anyone put one on? I've been told the stock exhaust on the 04's is a good system, just get rid of the muffler. I'm wanting a deep throaty sounding exhaust, but also one that performs well.
If stock is a good system, I don't see the since in spending 600-800 on a new system.

I'm running the 4" SS MBRP w/ cat delete and it sounds great. Not to loud and not to soft.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with Triton. I f you want a deep loud tone, the Aeroturbine is the way to go, just be prepared to deal with drone as it may show up. I had an Aeroturbine 4040L cat back on my 04.5 and I currently have an MBRP on my 06. The Aeroturbine was a lot deeper and a lot louder than my MBRP.
My Aeroturbine 4040L muffler actually failed at a weld. While I was waiting for a replacement, I straight piped it. I could barely tell the difference between having it straight piped and having the Aeroturbine muffler on there.
I would like to qualify that, as the 06 CTD is generally quieter, plus I went from a QC to a megacab, so the exhaust pipe exits further back and I don't notice it as much.

I've run a straight pipe, 4040L, and the Rokktech muffler on my 06. My opinion is that the 4040L sounds choppy. Straight sounds Ok. I love the Rokkteck. It has a low healthy rumble, but it's pretty quiet.

I've got the 4040, and compared to stock I love it. Idle to low rpm sound is deep and loud, little choppy like silver76 said, but very good. At higher Rpm's though, I think it gets a little droney and tin-canny, especially pulling the boat up a grade. But I'm happy with it and would recommend it.
