Well I didn't post the link to each and every Stanadyne page thinking that once you got there you might look around. Try http://www.stanadyne.com/new/ppt/showfile.asp?id=3298 where they talk a bit about 40 CFR 80.591d which is about labeling requirements and the Federal ultra low sulfur requirements. (they state they are in compliance)

You might also look at http://www.stanadyne.com/new/ppt/showfile.asp?id=1240 which is a reprint of an article out of "Equipment Today" where they chat about additives and how Sulfur isn't and wasn't a lubricant in the fuel, but how removing it affected the lubricity. (More about lubricity at Chevron's site http://www.chevron.com/products/prod.../L2_2_5_fs.htm or http://tinyurl.com/ybokd3 or about Diesel fuel in general http://www.chevron.com/products/prod...lletin/diesel/ )

Or you might check out the MSDS on their Performance additive (which I use) at http://www.stanadyne.com/new/ppt/showfile.asp?id=3328 . You will not find any sulfur but it will tell you it is harmful to mistake it for your beer.

Or, you might go to their home page http://www.stanadyne.com/new/index.asp and look at everything they have. Happy reading...

I just filled up yesterday after 659 miles. It took 31.5 gallons of diesel and 8 oz of Stanadyne. My best tank to date and I now have 107k miles behind me and of that, my first wife drove a total of 3 1/2 miles.

Not sure if I'm off here but I can see how they would add it back in. Remember the old 289 engines and other engines of the 60's era that were made for leaded gas. When the feds outlawed the use of leaded gas you could go out and get a lead additive to put in the gas for these engines and about every gas station carried it.

Should have included "no additive" as an option on the poll.

I don't add anything to the fuel.

I was thinking the same thing. I went ahead and voted "other". Mine runs fine on Diesel only.

I have used Amsoil in 5 different Cummins Dodges with excellent results. No pump or injector failures in over 600,000 miles(combined). Also always carry a bottle of Cetane boost since the time I got a bad batch of fuel at Alsup's in NM. Saved my bacon that time!

Welcome to DTR. Go to the upper left and find a link called "User CP". Clicking that will allow you to fill out your signiture so we can see what you put your diesel in.

Stanadyne

Stanadyne Performance here, 4 oz/15 gallons. May switch to Stanadyne Lubricity formula when ULSD is at the pumps in my neck of the woods.
