Looking at many threads regarding injector problems and low sulfur fuel, I was wondering if adding few ounces of oil to each fuel tank could help lubricating pump better.

My previous CTD was a 2nd gen and I always added 2 stroke oil to each tankful to help lubricating the VP44.

Any thoughts about this ?

 

Been a number of posters whom ad ashless two stroke to the fuel.Don't know if it does anything or not.Use the SEARCH function.Ought to be a lot of info.

 

Fwiw, I dont know if its been an advantage or not but Iv been adding 24 oz of Wallyworld 2 stroke to mine and havent had any probs.

 

I prefer to stay with a diesel fuel lube: Stanadyne or Power service.

I'm with donnee. I ad some wallyworld 2 stroke oil. I do it about every 2-3 tanks.

 

Run powerservice (silver bottle), it is designed to extend the life of your pump/injectors. I have run powerservice in nearly every tank for 80k.
