abs and parking brake light staying on
well my truck sat for a couple of days while i was away for work (2 weeks) i get home early saturday morning and decide i want a burger its 1am and go to the local whataburger i hop in the truck turn the key to the on position wait a couple of seconds and give it a crank, no problems i go to put my seat belt on, release the parking brake and the parking brake stays on as well as the abs light, i turn the truck off and hold the odometer reset button down and turn the key forward, to maybe see if i have "thrown a code" sure enough, A4 012, i turn the key back and do it again then, A4 016, just one code at a time comes up, but each time i check the code it numericly gets higher, the last code i get is A4 034, i looked up the codes here and i couldnt find that number there, so i think nothing of it, talking to my dad he says the macks they used to drive, would have the brake indicator light, light up if it was run through the mud or through water and 99% of the time, it was just corriosion somewhere on a sensor maybe? SOoo i took his advice, the next day i fuel up go to austin and 10 miles out of town the abs and the parking brake light turn off and everything is back to normal. Now what my question is, What does A4 034 mean? ANY ONE KNOW????

I posted about this recently, not that it answers your question entirely. Also, the number after the code is the number of times the ignition has been cycled since the code was last set.

you may also have a front hub going bad. My 01 v-10 had both hubs go out within 20000 of each other and the abs and p-brake lights were both on. same behavior as you describe. just jack it up and wiggle the front tires.

I hope its not a front hub goin bad ive only got like 4000 miles on it, as far as ohming the sensors go, what would be the best way of doing that, im an electrician and im used to ohming out circuts for identifing, but how do i go about ohming out the sensors on my truck?

Unplug the sensors and check the resistance. The front two should be the same (or close)
If you search here somebody had posted the values you should have for the sensors. Also be sure the air gap is consistant.
