OT-OF-HERE,

I would think that if it was injectors it would'nt only be happening when i start it after it has sit there a while..But then again i have never had to replace an injector on a cummins.....I had two replaced on a 2001 PSD I had and it ran rough alot more this just start ups.....did yours have any other characteristics besides the white smoke rough idle start ups??????

Oh ya one other thing I forgot......It seemed to run alot smother after the reflash, and it also seemed like the flash stopped alot of the pinging sounds....However it has started to ping alot more every time I drive it now.....Maybe I shouldnt have had the new TSB...

Everything you have described ,....I had. They replaced the injectors,...3 one time and 3 another. It finally took all 6 to resolve the problem. Now I have no smoke, no rough idle and no ping. It was a lengthy process as they can only isolate I believe one injector a day as they won't get approval from STAR to just replace them as they are beaucoup $$$$'s. Good luck.
