I just spoke to Jerry, my contact at the Cummins Hot Line. He said the TSB is 18-037-04 which was posted by someone else last week. However, this is verified and is the proper TSB. I'm getting mine done 8AM tomorrow. Good luck to everyone on their MPGs.

Yes, the flash improves your mileage and adjust your overhead computer!!! I had mine done last week. My overhead is dead-on accurate and I gained 1.5-2.0 mpg. On my second tank and I've done mostly town driving. However, I was on the highway for approximately 20 miles and the overhead was reading 20.4 @63 mph..I sure hope that was correct

I need some advice! I'm having a conflict between "if it aint broke, don't fix it" and "more is better." My truck gets great fuel economy, about 22mpg 65-70 mph highway, but has a build date in February '04. It looks like the flash actually does improve economy but you can't go back if it doesn't.
Should I go for it or not?

I bought my truck from Lou Futz Dodge in St Louis, they were really fab. I'd give them a shot.
Tomorrow they will hopefully reflash my truck. They want it overnight to verify the "smoke on start" thing...seesh, just reprogram the thing.

If your dealer is like mine I had to call them four times and give them the service bulletin number each time [18-037-04]and still had trouble.I finally had my salesman put me in touch with owner and will be getting it done tomorrow.I'am still going to show up with copy of service bulletin.
Hoping for the best

You need to contact them. Tell them that your mileage is low and that your overhead is not accurate. Tell them that the new TSB 18-037-04 just came out and that it is for the above problems.

I think you will be happy with the flash. My overhead prior to the flash was always 2.0-2.5 on the low side, and on some trips it would be 3 or more on the low side. @65-70 mph 18+ mpg @ 63 I had the overhead reading 20.4 mpg
