Mine also has a slight shudder from a dead stop.I have the same truck as you.The service manual says the driveshaft carrier bearing should be lowered 1/8 of an inch at a time until the shudder is gone.If mine gets no worse i will probably leave it alone

Re:48RE Trans. shudder when taken off
you are not alone. my truck is in being fixed for this exact problem. there is a thread over at the TDR bout this exact same issue. the fix usually involves driveshaft angles, and poor dirveshafts. in some instances the transfer case mounting plates were loose. It is possible that even an engine mount could be broken or out of plac just slightly. anyways, most of us that have the launch shudder also have a high speed shaking at around 65-70 mph.

do get your driveline inspected. I believe the launch shudder detonated the thrust washer in my first transmission(personal belief only), either way, it is not something that should be ignored.

best of luck.

Oren.
I get the same thing with my Ford. I noticed it isn't there at all in turns( as in leaving an intersection) . I suspect it has something to do with the limited slip Diff . Just a thought . John
