48RE Trans Service/Band Adjustment-Does not engage D,R,2,1 now?
I serviced my trans at 127k roughly and did a band adjustment as instructed in another forum posting. I currently just finished the service and the adjustment and the levels are fine. I went o pull out for a drive and check all the gears, when put in D nothing happens. could anyone provide some insight on band adjustments to enable the transmission to function.

Did you adjust the bands to 72 in. lbs. (Not FT. LBS.) and back off the adjusting screw as per the following procedure?

I would suspect a low fluid level, or loose filter.
Did you replace the filter?
Are you sure it is on right?
Did you add fluid to the full line?
With engine running, in neutral and on level ground and warm, bring fluid up to or very near the full line.
