is there an electronic controller for the 48re?
Hi,just got my new truck and its my first auto....with all the electronic controls out there is there one that only controls the transmission..i.e. shift points and speedo calibration...I'm happy with the power of the motor but would like to have some control over shift points and lockup etc

I'm not aware of any aftermarket controllers, maybe some of the tuner boxes for the ECM have an option to adjust shift points?
People on this board have succeded in wiring a manual control of the torque converter lock up circuit. This modification allows TQ converter lock-up at any time, and will stall the truck if you let it - complete manual control.
Do a search on lockup, torque converter lockup, or PIN 7, you should pull up something relating to the mod.
