3rd gen. sound file ?

Anyone know where there is one ??? I can take one with my dig. camera but I thought I'd save myself some time. I'd like to set up my computer to play it when I boot up each morning. My coworker did it for his 2001 Powerstroke and I can't be out done.

Re:3rd gen. sound file ?

There's an aftermarket site that sells exhaust systems has one you could listen to. Maybe DPPI, or DPI, or ?? Can't remember which one. No matter, its still great window shopping. Then again, its probably a CTD with a 4" system. Still WAY better than a PSD.

I think Flowmaster has the files mentioned. Might try them.

Re:3rd gen. sound file ?

Get a 2nd gen. sound file, the 3rd gen. one would be too quiet. ;D

Make sure he can hear it even if he is down the hall. ;D

Re:3rd gen. sound file ?

www.dieselpowerproducts.com has one with the aeroturbine muffler on - it's louder than the factory/stock

Re:3rd gen. sound file ?

Yes I just revved it in neutral. I wanted to do a driveby but it was past 5:00 and Dave had to get going and so did I. Next time I stop by there we could do another recording.

Re:3rd gen. sound file ?

I was wondering if you got the "on load" sound done.

I tried with mine, but the wind noise is too bad. More difficult than I expected.

Re:3rd gen. sound file ?

a good friend of mine is a recording sound engineer. I will be using one of this really good stereo mic's to capture the sound of my '04 2500 HO 6 spd this evening. I plan on doing a 20 or 30 second sound.

with the hood open, a start of the engine.....idle....then reving.....then shut down...

here it is....
