Let me guess leaking from the front pinion seal?? I've had the same problem 2x now. Get it replaced under warranty. It is a Pita but what do you do?

Noticed this problem on my 06 last night. Got looking at the oil, and it was very black, and did not seem to smell like gear oil. The hose for the engine breather is right above the seal, so I was thinking it may have just dripped some oil onto the seal area (on top of the housing, then it runs down), making it look like the pinion seal is leaking. I wiped it off and will monitor it.

Just some thing to check for those with the same problem.
