315s, rubbing with stock height?
All,
I am about to put tires on the 2500, I have stock height, will tow a heavy trailer on occasion (10K tag) I see a few folks here running 315s and other taller tires. Does anyone get rubbing with a load on? Any safer/lower heights recommended?
Thanks
Andy

I don't know from personal experience..........but I have read that most guys have some rubbing when running 315s on an otherwise stock height truck. You would probably need at least a 2'' leveling kit minimum.
Some have switched back down to 285s (from 315s) so they don't have any rubbing issues and/or power and fuel mileage loss.

315's
I have had a set of 315's on now for 90,000km. I do get rubbing only when turning full left. I have had up to 12,000lbs and no rubbing. I am about to replace them next month. They have been a great tire, i am very surprised at the wear, they have never let me down and i have used them a lot in the mountains in crumby weather pulling sled trailers. I was contemplating going smaller but i like how they fill in the truck wells. Hope it helps
