There is info on the Dodge website and also in the 06 Dodge Ram sales brochure at any dealer.

HeadsBikesMopars I got the Auto 4 Speed i beleive its the 48RE I am really excited to come home in march for a cpl weeks i am currently in iraq as we speek. So this is my toy i bought myself for being over here. I'm only 21 so i kno that alot of my friends are gonna be jealous as H*LL when i go see them in my new truck. Heres a question....when i first get it should i take it easy on the highway the speed limits 75 i mean i am not gonna rod the H*LL out of it by anymeans. Or would that be fine just let it get warmed up really good and then just cruise down the interstate? Thanks everyone for the replys

Follow the info in the owners manual for the first 500mi. Do a search for "break in" and it should bring up lots of info for you good luck.

Thumbs up

Tyler, Thanks you for your service to our country. You ARE appreciated more than you know. I varied the speed on mine. I took a 750 mile trip with 350 miles on it. I ran 65mph for 30 min. , 70mph for 30 min. , 75 and back to 65 and so on. I changed the oil @ 1400 miles and will again @ 3000. And then regular intervals after that. Try to use cruise as much as you can so to hold rpm more consistant. Good luck and tell everyone over there we havn't forgotten thier sacrifices, for this nation. Please let us know when you do return. God bless all of you. Terry.
PS you got the right truck, two thumbs up!

ROCKITTBOY, thanks. I do like it . It is everything I thought it would be. The 6spd. is busy...but I don't mind shifting, my '92 Dakota is a 5spd. I see you have a '04 CBR1000RR. I too have a Honda..not a rockitship like yours, but it gets me down the road nice and comfy. '98 Honda Valkyrie Tourer. And I like it fine. LOL. Terry.
