2x00 RPM Vibration Fix for Automatics
I had someone look over my truck at the Vibration at 2000-2300 RPM's I drive an Automatic and he told me that DC had put a Tie RAP on the Transmission Dip stick to the AC/Heater Tube. He cut the Tie wrap off and add 2 Tie Wrapes One to the aanother Tube and the other to the AC/Heater Tube. so the Automatic Transmission Dip stick tub was not touching any of the AC/Heater Tubes. Sorry about the explaination I am no mechinac or I really dont know too much about this kinda of stuff, But I know a H*ll of lot about computers.
PS I can take a picture and post it if you would like.

Re:2x00 RPM Vibration Fix for Automatics
Yes as far I know it worked I tested it on my way into work this morning, it was not there. I drove 35 miles with overdrive off and on RPM's betwen 2000-2400 it seemed to be fixed will no more when going to lunch, My co-worker want to goto lunch today and want me to do the same thing to his truck, will let you all know after lunch if it fixed his truck as well. I know it sound stupid, but hey. if it works it works. right.

YUP - DC got a REAL bad load of them there "vibrating dipsticks and tubes"...
It's REAL amazin' as to how those tubes can shake an engine around like that...

That would be great if you could post a picture. I too have some vibration at those RPMs and it's just something I was planning on living with, but if the fix is that easy, I'm in.

I was changing the front diff fluid last night so after reading your post I gave it try and cut off the existing tywrap and attached the dipstick tube so it was not touching either one of the two tubes it goes between, this morning the vibration was still there on my way to work up to about 75 then it goes away, oh well it was woth a try.
