It is TSB 19-008-03. The fiw is a new ps hose from the pump to the hydroboost.

Re:2100 rpm vibs getting bad

I got the dreaded vibe :'( ,I believe the remedy will be a larger harmonic dampener... I am going to contact American Axle to see if they plan to sell this 385 mghz dampener to the general public..

sound like a good idea but why should we have to pay for this it fixes the vibe? I'm willing to try anything but dodge can pick up the tab, right? Let us know what you find LRAmberson & good luck

If you don't act like you you did in the last thread, you'll be fine.

I'm getting a harmonic drone, not really vibration, between 2000 and 2200 (68-75mph) in 4th gear. It's getting worse as the miles add up. It didn't start until I had about 1k on the ticker; now approaching 5K. I can hardly stand to drive between 2,000 and 2,200 rpm in OD. At 2,300 rpm or 80mph, it's gone, so I try to avoid 70 to 75mph on the interstate, otherwise I get a headache. Other than trying the dealer, which I'll do this week, any suggestions?

FWIW I had a (or should I say 'the') slight but very noticeable vibration in the steering wheel at 2100 rpm (about 70 mph in 6th) which got worse when the A/C compressor started, in other words... the usual (vehicle is a '03 2500 HO CTD). Sometimes I could hardly notice it and sometimes it practically put my hand to sleep unless I sped up/slowed down to get out of the trouble area. Had the new ps/hydroboost hose installed per the TSB and it was very effective in my case, essentially eliminating the problem. Much more pleasant to drive on the freeway now. Looking at where the weight is on the hose (in the middle on the rubber line, not on any of the hard points) I can't imagine why it makes the difference that it does, or how DC ever figured this fix out, but at least it worked (for me). Give it a try even if you are skeptical, only takes about 30 minutes and at least it can't hurt...
