Big iron dave

Hey guys I was hoping i could get some help.I have an 07 mega cab 4x4 with electronic shift on the fly 4x4..Anyway i was in need of four wheel drive the other day so i engaged it and when i was done i turned the the selector back to 2 high and the 4wd light just keeps flashing and 4 wheel drive won't dis engage.Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is??I tryed a search but was unsucessful...thanks in advance Dave..

there is the neutal reset button on the thing with the **** on it. Not sure if it actually works or not. I have never met anyone thats used it before.

Are you trying to go back in 2 wheel drive with the truck in neut or park? If so try driving slowy and turn the **** back and see if it helps it. Also check and make sure you dont have a blown fuse.

Tryed everything to get it to go back to 2wd..I havent tryed to the reset button i'll be trying that asap..Thanks,,

If the reset doesn't work on your first try, put the truck in reverse and back up a little, then back in drive and forward a little, if it doesn't switch out, then try the reset again. It may take a couple tries at that process. If it still won't reset or go out of 4wd, then it is probably the sending unit or whatever they call it AT the transfer case - check to see that the wiring is OK there too.

Thanks guys problem solved for some reason i have to go into 4 low then go right to 2h and that got it out of 4h...Obviously theres a problem there will be getting it checked as soon as i can...Thanks Dave..

Yea sounds like you may have an electical issue or a controler issue.

Same thing just happened on my 03. It was the t-case selector motor. I put a used one in my truck and problem solved.

my 07 Mega 4x4 just had this issue as well! Struggled for about 20 minutes to get it to go back to 2wd! In a VERY inopportune time and place (of course). What eventually worked, was putting it in 4wd hi and pulling forward, backing up a few times for nearly 2 blocks before it finally went back to 2wd. This is ridiculous! My truck has never had a problem in the 2+ years i've owned it till this happened! I guess a trip to the dealer is in order, since its still under warranty. Is this a semi-common problem with the 4x4 Mega's and their electric shift 4wd setup?
