My 2007 5.9 that has been worked Hard but very well maintained busted a #5 Injector this week. After talking to a few folks, there are 5 of us now with the exact same year 5.9's that have blown the #5 injector recently. How many other 2007 5.9 owners have had one or more replaced?

 

my truck has been running rough lately, so im starting to think that may be the problem, or at least something

 

Mine at 16000 miles is running fine, and getting great mileage, unloaded highway is up to 21 + mpg. My 04.5 couldn't keep an injector though.

 

My truck ran fine at 16,000 as well! LOL

 

Not yet......35,000km's

 

Hope I dont get this problem, but I only have 5K miles

 

30000 miles on mine with no issues yet....

 

Just lost an injector today, and yes you guessed it, the #5 injector. Truck has 139K on it, I haul camper trailers for a living coast to coast. Today I was in Denver, CO. 1100 miles from home, got quoted $1070.00 for a replacement injector and $220.00 for labor.

1 gallon of Power Service Diesel Kleen in 34 gal of fuel later and the injector is back to working....(I got lucky it was stuck open)

For how long, I do not know, I am going to order a complete set of injectors when I get home....

 

20K miles, no problems (yet)...
