Well Smarty jr does not like the factory DMF clutch. Been doing a little research and looking for advice. mods in sig and I do tow around 12000# occasionally. Looking for a clutch that will hold up to the task but trying to watch the $$$ at the same time.

Zoom MU52179-1SK Summit Racing $459.99

Valair ceramic/kevlar $921.38

South Bend G56-ofek $1285.25.

Thought the factory clutch would hold the 70 hp program but does not, I can run right through it empty in 5th and 6th gear.

Edit Low mile 07!
I put the SB OFE in at about 50k mi, got to where I could run thru it in 5th and 6th even with stock power (from running the Bully dog since new).
It holds great, although I smoked it real good once trying to do a boosted launch. Good news is, that was months ago and it's still holding.
I'm tempted to say, you get what you pay for.
Oh the OFE is pretty smooth, got a little stiffer once it broke in, but still can feather out the clutch with a touch of throttle.

I have 79k on mine and the Smarty Jr for about 10k of those now. I can burn right through 5th and 6th if I am not careful. I will be going with the single disc OFEK for my G56 some time next year.
They are a bit on the expensive side but the kit does come with everything you need to upgrade. Also my main reason is from reading on here, South Bend quality and customer service is absolute top notch. That says A LOT to me.

It's a little grabby but not bad and the pressure plate feels a little heavier. I did a bunch of research and decided on Southbend. Call em up. They'll answer every question. Very professional. I'm surprised at the previous posts talking about slippage. The ConOFE is rated to 450 hp and 900 ft/lbs. The Jr. only adds 100 hp so 425 hp ideal power. That's a 25 hp cushion. But it's serios money and you would do well to call Valeo, LUK and Centerforce or anyone else. LUK is stock with the dual mass setup. LUK sells a replacement for higher hp applications. So you're doing the right thing by posting up here.

Well from all of the research I have done online, this site and talking with people looks like I will be saving my coins for a South Bend G56-ofek and installing myself. Thanks all for the insight and words of experience.

And yeah it is a low mileage "Garage Queen", still cherry in and out.

When you say LUK sells a higher hp replacement,is that a dmf or single solid flywheel? I called them about engineering a sturdier dmf and they said they'd mention it to the engineers.

LUK upgrade.
I found it on an after market site.
It's a solid flywheel setup.
Google LUK.
I don't endorse or make any recommendation concerning the following website and the MOD's might take it out of my post but I found it at Dial a clutch.
