2006 1 ton single axle same as dually axle?

Is the rear axle on 2006 1 ton single wheel just as strong as the axle on the dually?Or are they totally different? And do they both have the same amount of leaf springs?

Reason is i'm thinking of switching to a dually, but if my axle is just as strong as well as the same rear leaf springs.and i'm only gaining two more wheels i won't bother.

My single wheel 1 ton is right at the rear axles load capacity with my truck camper loaded. The truck handles the load with ease but i don't want to over work the rear diff.
Thanks

The dually axle has an extra set of rigid castings around the pumpkin that the SRW only has one. It's rated to handle 13K from AAM as I recall, & the SRW axle is rated for only 8K. I've been looking to do the same thing for a long time, but haven't found anyone close enough that wants to swap.

Yes, the 8K rating is from AAM, not dodge, but I've been running for about 2-3K miles a year with 6K+ on the rear with no issues at all. Some day if I can get the $ together, or find someone close by that wants to swap, I'll do it, but I'm confident the axle can handle the load. I was more worried about the wheels, so I bought aftermarket ones rated for 3500#, & run tires rated for more than that.
