2006/07 DRW gearing options?

What rear-end gear options existed for these trucks with the auto trans?

3.55 - ?No?
3.73 - yes
4.10 - yes

I am working with a guy so that we can swap his DRW axle for my SRW but he has no tags on the diff and no labels in the glove box, under the hood or in the door jams that state axle ratios.

TIA!

06 with the auto you could get 3.73's or 4.10's
I believe in 07 dodge offered a 3.42 gears but in the 6sp manual only.

His truck is a 2007 4X4 DRW Mega cab with an auto and the gears are stock. He was originally thinking he had 3.55 gears but I don't think that was an option period in 2006 or 07...

Check this site, http://www.dodge.com/bodybuilder/year.pdf I don't 3.55s as an option and if a manual only 3.73s. Automatics have optional 4.10s.

Check the site to make certain though.

Try starting at this one, http://www.dodge.com/en/business/ Then body builders in the upper left, then view body builders guide, should open in a new window.

Hope this helps!

I finally got the site to work, it seems Adobe 9 is not my friend...

And it looks like the 3.73 and 4.10 were the only options in 06/07 however in 2008 3.42 was an option as well.

Why not just check it manually? Pull the driveshaft and count the revolutions of the pinion yoke vs. the axles? See how many times the pinion turns when you turn the tire 10 times. It'll either turn 37.3 or 41.0 roughly.

Put a mark on the bottom of one of the rear tires and a mark on the rear drive shaft. Have someone move the truck forward so that the mark on the tire rotates one full rotation. While this happens, watch the mark on the drive shaft and count how many times it rotates. If it's significantly under 4 then it has 3.73's, if it is over 4 then he has 4.10's.
