2005 HO 680!
With all the hype of the new 600 why not wait for the 680?
Just kidding of course. I am wishing well to those that have ordered the 600 and can't wait to read the reviews but also hats off to all the current CTD owners and their modifications.
There will always be a bigger and better

That's right ;D
If you wait another 6 months for those of use contractors and RVer's there will be a Contractor special with a 10kWhr generator built in so we don't have to buy a putt putt for our 5th wheels or trailers. ;D ;D
US government is doing testing on it now.

[/quote]That's actually a pretty good idea and hopefully it will come with an exhaust hose to route the fumes away from the trailer :-X

Re:2005 HO 680!
It's actually sandwitched between the engine and transmision.
It can possibly be used as a regenerative brake as well. Just enough batt to store energy from the stop to help out the start. I don't know if that is the direction they are going but it's possible. I'm thinking it's just for contractors primarily maybe part of it is phasing in components for hybrids.

The military version also has a stealth mode where the Ram will run on the stored electrical energy. If I also remember correctly, this version with the built in generator uses the SO Cummins.
