2005 dodge is this a good deal?

I founda truck today at a car lot that my bank told me is a repo.

i drove it , runs fine has a few minor scratches and a small dint on the tail gate which is normal its gonna be a truck you know.

i found it for 12,000 dollars and its the 6 cyl diesel with 90,000 miles on it SLT lone star edition black with polished aluminum wheels short bed 2 wheel drive.

i did nada and kbb it books for 24,000 with all the options should i jump on it tomorrow and buy it or not mess with it because repo status?

was at my dealer last week, and the salesman who i bought my last 2 trucks from (also a friend) said they were paying half of wholesale book on diesel truck trade-ins, so $12,000 sounds about right. he said it's becoming more common at more dealerships, as they can't move them off the lot, and no one's buying them at auction either.

the market from last year to this year, is very different. i saw brand new '08's on the lot that had '$14,000 OFF' stickers in the window- they are praying for people to come in and take them off the lot, as they're getting the '09's in soon. if it looks clean and runs good, $12,000 is a good price- i would try to start it after it's been sitting overnight (the longer it's been sitting, the better), and see if there's any stumble or white smoke on start up, as it could be a sign of an injector problem..... good luck.....

i believe i was the first to start it this morn and it fired right up no smoke a little black smoke out of the tail pipe when i gave it the throttle hard and then i got it up to temperature and opened the oil cap and it verily had a whisp of blowby which i believe is normal...

If you drive 2,000 miles per month, fuel will cost three times your truck payment Do you have to have a truck for work or hauling??
