2005 Dodge 2500 4X4 power steering pump failure

I was reading in the book that is said you need to remove the intake and intercooler hose to remove and install, is that true or is there room to work around it.
Also said not to reuse the pulley? No one is selling them, why not reuse if it is fine, no dents, dings and so on.

Here is a picture of the pump...as you can see there is nothing in the way. I didn't even have to take the radiator hose off either. There are 2 hoses and two Torx screws that have to come off, and the pump can be lifted out. Be prepared to make a mess as the fluid will get on everything. I drained as much as I could into a drip pan (shallow 2' X 4'). A old blanket will suffice.

According to this bulletin ATF+4 is the correct fluid for our DR pick-ups. Could this be the reason for some of the failures you are experiencing?
