Guys, I have a huge issue with my truck. I bought it used with 200k, since I’ve had it, it lopes at idle, and when you rev it up, it stays reved up and surges. Sometimes even climbing to where I need to shut it off to stop it. I have changed just about everything except the high pressure pump and common rail, including injectors and throttle pedal. No codes present. I can unplug the map sensor and it stops but no power. Could this be a CPU or wiring problem? This has stumped several dodge diesel mechanics.

 

Just about everything? Did you put in a new FCA? Have you cleaned the MAP sensor with the correct cleaner?

Yes, changed both of them with new parts

 

I have only seen 1other with the same symptom, I asked the guy what he did to fix it? Response was “I put a 12v motor in its place”
