Hey SPPOLER any TESTS for the WIF LIGHT WARNING and any breakdown on how its SUPPOSE to work? After all this time, since 03 you'd think someone would have shhoved this WIF light into a Chrysler reps face when quoted THOUSANDS to repair a system that has a WARNING device that KNOWN seem to operate as designed. WIF light worked on my 1993 W250 great. If it came on there was WATER in the filter bowl.

You would think so. I would need to get ahold of a shop manual to take a look at the testing procedure. If it happend to me I WOULD have it in there face for sure. They wouldn't like me very much when I got done with'em.

As far as the crapy A/C issues we have, there is a reason for that also. Since mine started acting stupid again last summer and working with it before the issue is the ECM fan clutch programming needs to be fixed. They are not turning the fan on quick enough at startup and at high ambient temps. I noticed this when I was looking at my truck way back when. I will evacuate and recharge my system this summer when it gets hot. I am then going to stick an electric fan on the condenser. Last summer I could make mine act stupid at will. It would do it everytime on initial startup on a very hot/humid day. The high side pressure is spiking up to 450 to 500 psi due to no airflow over the condensor and it ends up pushing the refrigerent out the seals. Which seals? I don't know or care. The root cause is no airflow over the condenser at slow speeds or on initial startup. As you know it will take over a year to see if it fixes the issue cause you can normaly make it through one summer with no issues. It's the second summer when I started having issues again. That's why at the first of every summer you have to recharge the darn A/C system again.

Yeah, I am still mad about the A/C. It hot down here.....LOL

I've read many times that removing them is no issue. Its reinstalling them that get screwed up.If not installed correctly it mimics same issue you have.

I would like the contact info for this guy........I am leaning toward injector/s on mine as well.
Will not start cold or warm unless the engine cranks very fast......usually with the help of a battery charger for 20minutes

Wonder why NO ONE ever reports seeing that light come on.I have NEVER read a post on ANY Dodge truck forum about a 3rd gen WIF light being activated because of WIF.Yet MANY posts about water in fuel damage.I had MANY 1st and 2nd Gen trucks come into the shop with the WIF light on and water really was in the fuel.I've had it come on after a fillup on my 1st gen and had to stop and drain it.Worked as designed. But NOT a 3rd Gen.

Now that you mention it, I think the only threads I've seen about a 3rd gen WIF light come on is after someone has washed the engine and gotten water in the plug.

I was thinking of adding a 2 micron filter (these injector threads kind of spook me), and keeping the stock canister as a prefilter, to keep the fuel heater, and as the water trap...

I wonder if it would be better to add a seperate water catcher...

That's exactly what I did. Another one of my useless filters:

Not to hyjack the thread too bad, but that looks great.

I take it you built it yourself? Could you post details about what parts, how much you spent, and how it's built?
