Need help. Had a squeaking coming from front left tire area. Thought maybe brakes, but took them off and squeak still there. Sounds like ujoint. Appears that ujoint out because wheel moving back and forth left to right slightly when hub turned round and round. Question is I took the nut off, but cannot get the hub off. Is there something I am missing. Cannot find my book tonight. ANyone know? I have the four bolts off the back and the antilock brake sensor out.

 

I just did my pass. side u-joint last month and I had to take it all the way down to removing steering knuckle from truck and then tap the hub out from the inside of the knuckle. P.I.T.A ...but it worked. Ended up taking 4 hrs to strip down and 1 to put back together. Just be careful on the balljoints. With yours being a 03 and mine a 04.5 neither ball joints are very forgiving. If in the budget just replace them too while your in there. Bill
