had the vibe @ 2000 - 2200-- about 70 -74 mph-- TSB came out last week- dealer replaced power steering line with one that has a heavy weight on it for counter-balance- looks like a tumor- tempered the vibe down but still get the shiver- like the buzz from an electric razor- got a sneakin suspicion the problems in the 47RE -- apparently none of the newer models have this condition but they also have the 48RE--

I have been awhile for awhile, but my dealer told me yesterday that Dodge knows what the problem is, and it is supposed to be with the frame. They (Dodge) supossedly have something that will be mounted onto the frame to solve the problem shortly..that was what I was told as I have the vibes at 2000rpm as well

I had the TSB performed and it helped a great deal. I will submit pictures of what is done to members photos , under technical . There are two clamps (C in pictures) on the two powersteering hoses to keep them from rubbing on each other, one Protector of a single hose (P) where the two hoses cross and could rub, and the weight for dampening (W).

I could not figure how to upload a photo to the administrator of the technical photo section, so I uploaded one to my gallery. On three subsequent trys to upload the second pic, clicking on Browse locked up my computer. So one pic shows the TSB.

Vibe still there after the TSB and a lot of miles but not as bad- problem is the vibe is being transmitted from the engine and it appears the power steering hoses are a major carrier- put a piece of ethafoam between the hoses and the ps reservoir and that helped more than the tsb- still think dc could brainstorm a better idea than the "tumor on the hose" cure-- by the way when the truck has been sitting in -20 or colder for 4 days it doesn't vibrate at all-smooth as a baby's butt!

I had the vibration really bad but after my last oil change 7500 mi. I switched to Rotella T and also had them change the fuel filter and now it's just slight compared to what it was. I wonder if it is related to a fueling issue. Mine is '04 SO 4x2 w/ 48re. I am rapidly aproaching 9000 miles.

Okay, as I read somebody else had done in one of the other vibration posts, on this board I think, I pulled my front driveshaft. No more vibes. Could this just be a poorly balanced front driveshaft?

I'm talking about the driveline vibe, not the p/s vibration.
