Talk about a standard dealer answer! Mine said, "Can't reporduce the 60-65 MPH Vibration". I almost had a hemmorhage until I decided to just wait them out! I specifically told the Service Writer that it started at 70 MPH.

Talk about dorks!!

I just bought a 2005 Ram 3500 Quad Cab (single rear wheels) and it has the vibration problem also starting around 70 MPH. I'm pretty sure it is in the driveline, and from reading this, most likely is the driveshaft?

Quick, Give me the TSB so I can get the dealer to fix the problem!

I have had the vibe since new, things improved since the TSB hose was added. I am taking it in again after talking to Dodge apparently my dealership never called STAR. One thing of note is that the vibe is especially noticable throught the 4 WD select lever, put your hand on it next time you get to 70 MPH.

Why is it that a bunch of gear-heads like us said it was a driveshaft problem all along and a bunch of smart guys like them said it was not ?

My driveshaft assembly has been replaced. Vibe is still there. Actually, it got worse. Using shims, or brackets as DC calls them, they changed my driveline angle again today (5th or 6th time) and it helped a little. As I see it now, I got 5 choices. Live with it, start lemon law process, sell it, trade it, let 'em keep working on it. Wait, they won't work on it forever. One dealer quit after 4 attempts. So I guess I only have 4 choices. Sucks being me.

This may or may not be related. I have an '04 3500 dually 4x4. During normal driving conditions, i don't have much of a problem with vibration. However, when I pull a trailer (20 foot stock trailer or 24 foot lowboy), I get a realllly bad vibration between 52 and 55 mph. Do you think this could be related to the drive shaft issue most of you are talking about?

Nothing against the original poster here, but we have heard all this stuff before over the last year or so and it always comes and goes without a fix. I'll wait till I see an actual TSB before I make any plans. I had the vibe, but 15k miles later w/ new wheels and tires it seems to be gone. Maybe I have just gotten used to it? I hope this TSB is for real, but I wouldn't count your chickens before the eggs hatch.

Just wondering if this has been proven to be true or not yet? Seems like it is BS to me, cause this is the only forum I have found where it has been mentioned, then the thread just died.

Well the truck is at the dealership for the vibration. The service manager admits there is a vibration. They spoke to STAR regarding the vibration. The reply from Dodge was check the wheels are balanced and check the universal joints. Balancing driveshafts does not seem to be an option.
