2 Stroke Oil Really Works

Hey guys been running 2 stroke oil for some times now and it definetly quiets those injectors down.......I filled up the other day and didn't use anything and I thought I was losing a injector....added oil and no more rattle....even my timing rattle is down....I'm a bass fisherman so I have tons of it laying around, been running the Yamaha stuff(what I use on my outboard)

Truck does seem to smoke more, but who cares about that

Good for you. I would assume that any extra lube would be good for our trucks. However, I would make sure that I kept an eye on my fuel filters, they will clog easily if you run too much 2 stoke...

how much are you running? do you think a little bit of b100 would make it quiet down?

I just started running it again.
I go with 1oz to a gallon. Engine is soo much quieter.
Bio will def make it quieter, but i had FP issues at cold temps and B100.

What makes you say this, how much would be too much? I believe I've probably used too much at least 50 times, I've been running the stuff on two trucks for over 300,000 miles? Just curious as I use 2mic filtration and if anything would ever clog, it would be my filter.

I too have been using it a few years at a rate of 1 oz per gallon approx + - a swig or too. Never yet had a filter problem.

I run about 3x that treat rate in 2-1 WMO/2-stroke mix. Been running the same mix in the 1st Gen for almost three years, and the filters on it have been installed for about two years now. Granted, it's only seeing about 10k miles/yr. The '07 even less. I don't see any filter issues running way more lube add to the fuel than you guys are talking about.

Scottsjeeprolet, so if you put 30 gals of fuel in, you add 30oz of 2stroke?? That seems to be alot and expensive.

You can call me Scott
From everything i have read that's about the mix you want. You don't have to add that much, put in what your comfortable with.
Read through the links i gave above and see if you agree. I use the Wally world 2 stroke in the blue bottle.

Ive been using the Wally World ashless 2 cycle for years now, but I do put in less than everyone else, usually only 8-16oz per tank(which I usually fill up around half a tank anyway)

More for piece of mind for me, its cheap insurance...

I've been using the ashless 2 stroke from wally world too for about 6 months and using it with the summer fuel has really quieted down the injector knock (relatively speaking of course). I still have to shut of the truck in the drive thru though...

Adding 1 oz. per gallon of fuel will cost you $8.5 cents more. Not bad for the protection you get.

The protection issue is good.
I tried a year or so back, mixed with PS, and my milage dropped.
Lately I've tried like 8oz per tank and it runs smoother, so I have been thinking about it more.

I just bought 2 gal of Yamalube - I refill MY jugs at the dealer - cost was $21.95 @ gal. The Walmart stuff is About $8. But if you got enough of it...

Now, if you could figure out how to put the oil reserve and pump from an old boat onto/into your truck so you could dial in a 30 0r 40 to one mixture rate - that would be cool. No more blue stripe on the side of the truck - just topoff the reserve.
