2 1/2 pints LOW! rear diff
Thanks to everyone for the heads up. I checked my rear axle today & it was 2 1/2 pints low. I only have 1,700 miles on my Dodge. You would think by now Dodge would have this fixed.

Re:2 1/2 pints LOW! rear diff
My 11 1/2" axle was 2qts low. Blew out ring and pinion, terrible howl. Developed at 2000 miles. That is when I posted my problem in November. Ring and pinion gears, and bearings replaced under warranty in December. American Axle Manufacturing puts the GL-5 at their factory before shipping to D-C, Dodge Assembly Plant.

I checked my NV4500 Tranny and it was plumb full of synthetic. New Venture boasts on their web site that they lube it for life. ??? ???

Still trying to resolve another drrive train problem which could be related to original low rear axle GL-5 level.
:'(
