1st problem with my truck
I have a 2005 with 52,000 miles on it. 2 days ago the engine light came on and it started shifting late from 1-2. I had the code read and it said 1754 throttle valve actuator stuck. Is this something that is easy to fix or does it have to go to the dealer?

I am not sure but maybe there is a problem throttle box (whatever it is called ). It's the black box connected to the throttle under the dash. It sends the signal to the ecm of how much throttle is being applied.
Just a guess, hopefully someone who knows a little more will chime in.

The TVA is ( yes in the trans) an electric motor. I've seen a couple of them stick. They aren't real expensive, but it might be worth a diagnostic charge to make sure that the component has failed, and not a wiring issue. Pretty easy to change too. The TSB will fix a gov. pressure problem and hunting from 1-2. Not really the problem you are having by the code and symptoms.
