Question 100psi Fuel Pressure???

I took my first long trip in my 2006 since I purchased it in October and installed my Quad Adrenaline w/ pulse (so I have fuel pressure gauge).

After an hour or so of constant highway driving, the fuel pressure started slowly increasing from ~6psi cruising, a few psi every couple minutes until it maxed out the fuel sender at 100psi. Rail pressure stayed the same and I didn't notice any performance change and/or obvious change in fuel economy.

I remember seeing on someone's post that the fuel canister won't hold in the fuel over 33psi, which makes me think I wasn't really seeing 100psi.

The fuel pressure went back to normal after a stretch of stop and go driving one time, and after turning off the truck another.

I tried searching, but any search that includes "fuel" just crashes the search feature.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

David

PS I still have the stock in-tank lift pump and about 4k miles of the fuel filter.

Sounds like your psi sender or gauge is going out.
