1 - 2 - 1 - 2 shift problem

have 03 auto with 220kms. boght used with 120k 2 years ago. not positive how long my truck shifted from - first (normally) second (for a split second) back to first (for a second) then second and normal throughout. may have started after one of the four rebuilt tc, vb etc was installed (thanks to downloaders, and no, inever drove like a retard). had the ecm and pcm reflashed at the dealershit hoping this would cure my trucks lack of power. it did not (waste of $486). question is, should those ecm pcm flashes cured the 1 2 1 2 shift pattern. truck runs annoying like that and maby that is my power prob. maby that is also why i went through those trannys. dealer says i will probably have to pay for the flashes again, if it works? could it? thanks

I have a similar truck, and mine does that when the engine/tranny is cold and I'm creeping out of the parking lot/driveway. Seems if I'm being too gentle on the fuel pedal it can't decide where to settle- first or second. Might be the TC slowly filling back up after being parked or something. Anyway, I'm not worried. Quits doing it after a minute or two and then runs like a champ.

I can tell you mine did it about 3 days after I had a Hts valve body put in. Mine is fixed now and it was the Govenor Solenoid. It is a little round thing that bolts on to the valve body. Do a search for governor solinoid or how ever you spell it. I started a thread about this a month or so ago. it was a simple fix. It was an $80 dollar part or at least that is what I paid for it. For some reason these go bad after new VB install on some trucks.

thanks for info. truck still does this after it is warm though. will take it to get reupgraded as my tranny mech says, see what dodge has to say bout it. if it continues i'll give the new bill to tranny guy, he hates my already (paid for 1 tranny, 3 others under warranty) and suggest he looks at the governor solinod. more than likely tranny prob as usual. thanks
