06 won't start. Dealer can't find what's wrong with it. No codes.

The truck started missing or something while driving down the road then when coming to a stop at a traffic light it stalled and would not start back up. The fuel filter was changed and the diesel looks good. Still not starting. Sprayed carb cleaner in it to try to get it to start and it sounded like it was trying to start but only for a second then stalls.

Towed to the dealer and they ran all their checks and said everything checks out good but it still won't start. What should I look for next?

Thank you for any help.

A different Dealer....or a Cummins shop.

yeah definitely a different dealer, there's no way the things shouldn't start, did you put gasoline in it?

No gas. I was hoping for ideas on what could be wrong. They did all the diagnostic checks and found nothing. They said it's making proper fuel pressure too.

I assume you checked the air filter also. What do you mean by "no cranking" it does turn over right. How old are your batteries?

First take that can of Carb cleaner that you sprayed into your motor and throw it away! Don't use starting fluids. That Carb cleaner trick is only for use on gas engines. Next is it a no crank or crank no start. Big difference between the two and how you go about figuring either out.

At my dealer out here they are seeing some bad ECM's on the 05-07's and some of them are not showing codes as you said.

Have you tried your spare key yet? My neighbor had the exact start but no run problem with his '06 and it turned out to be the Sentry Key was bad. Used his spare and all was fine. Just something to try.

fuel rail pressure relief valve maybe? It might be able to build enough pressure at the pump but if the fuel rail isnt properly pressurized then the injectors will not open and your truck will not fire. Im guessing at this point...

Enough fuel in the tank, low fuel issues.

Bad battery in key.

Relief valve.

Bad ECM.

Those are the usual issues relative to cranks, fires, quits. There also have been some bad CP3's, cranking pressure seems OK, and all you can do is see the pressure while cranking and assume it's OK, but sustained running pressure is not there.

there is a special policy on the ECM's. if it is even if you have a cajillion miles on it, they will replace it.

How can someone find out if this info applies to a 2003? I know that I am not getting enough rail pressure (tested) but no CEL to really tell me.
