^^^hahahah...I got a belly laugh out of that! Need to use that one since we're getting some more snow in Dallas. Seriously, how much harder is it to pull a lever than twist a ****? Good luck!

That's the worst part of buying a Laramie, they all have that gay 4x4 **** on the dash.

Hey Fisherguy - It's called the GIRLIE **** . . the floor shift is called the MANLY LEVER . . .

In my earlier post I WAS refering to the pinhole to put the xfer case into neutral. Somewhere in all of my reading posts I read something that discussed the BUS signal confusion, that by going through the neutral step it somehow reset the BUSses way of thinking, then it would shift out of 4wd.

The reset or neutral information is found in the OWNERS manual, may also be in the shop manual, but I know it's in the owners manual, I recall reading it there.

^^Its just cash to get there.

My truck is a street queen but my 77 bronco is all manual, with 2 levers and locking hubs! When it goes out to play, I don't mind a bit.

I had manual locking hubs on all my trucks for 40+ years until I bought the Dodge, then I got the full-time hubs and the girlie **** . . I cannot say that I have any complaints about the girlie **** . . actually, rather convenient, and NO problems so far. I never saw any real fuel mileage gains when I converted my Ford truck from full-time to manual hubs, the expense was really not worth the changeover. I guess there is/are a couple parts that tend to cause problems when they fail, but it will be really easy to get them, keep them on hand just in case.

Like anything else, newer brings changes. All in all the new stuff is pretty reliable. Everything can break or fail, old or new. Some things you can jerry-rig and some things you can't. Try running a nylon around that serpentine set-up.

Is that why you carry nylons in the glove compartment???

How do I explain the bra my wife found under the seat? Maybe tell her it's for emergency support of the wiring harness???
