06 over heating

Exclamation 06 over heating

havin trouble with 06 2500 4x4 .96000 miles been over heating but it has been kinda speratic . some times runnin down high way or plowing snow or it dont do it at all .some times towing . tryed with smarty jr on and off the truck makes no differance . changed thermastat temperature sensor antifrees is good , water pump not leeking and is tight . thinking try rad cap . then maybe new clutch fan ????????????. not sure on how cluthc fan realy works .. is it like old school ones or is there some electrical set up to it ???

The clutch fan is controled by the ECM. Pull your codes and see if you have a code. Pull the radiator cap an ensure the radiator is full when cold. If not, then you have air in the system.

Use the DTR Wiki to check what they mean.
