06 hard start and ruff idle.
I have been daily driving my 06 for the last year and a half and last week I got a free 30 mpg car to drive so the truck has been sitting all last week. The last time I drove it was 7 days ago and it ran perfectly. Today we went to take it to church and it almost wouldent start. It would fire enough to kick the starter out then die. I had to crank on it a long time then it would fire and die rite away. It did this a few times before it started. It was sitting in the garage and there was no smoke in the garage so it dident smoke excesivly when it did start. After it started it ran very ruff at idle for a long time. Anything off idle and it would smoth rite out but as soon as I let it back to idle it would start shaking and rocking the truck. We drove 8 miles to town and when we got there it was still running ruff at the stop sighn. By time we got to church a mile latter it had gone away and was ideling smooth. All the way home it ran fine and it now idles smooth again. I have 105,000 on it but I also have an extended warrentie on it so I am thingking a trip to the dealer is in order, but with out it still running like poop they will most likely tell me nothing is wrong. What is my most likely problem? I am thingking injectors but dont know.
On a side note it dident want to move after I started it either but I asume that was from the converter draning .

I would almost suspect an airleak in the fuel line, letting the fuel drain back to the tank. It then would take a long time to get the air out of the system with the cp3, having to push it through the injectors. We had a tractor at work years ago with very similar symptoms - would start and run everyday like nobody's business, but did the exact thing when we let it sit over a holiday weekend.

Nothing comes up but my display is diferent than his. I dont have a digital display on the left side just the right and it never changed off the miles. I tyed the gauge check just for the heck of it and got a c447, s121 and a , 282
I am goan get it in to the dealer and burn up some more of my extended warrenty before it goes away.

Sounds like an injector needle that's getting hung-up or sticking... or possibly a piece of carbon broke loose and got lodged in the injector nozzle. Mine will occasionally do this out of the blue... then it clears up and is gone. I'd recommend using red-line diesel fuel treatment. I have had great results with it... much better than power service.

I have the same problem starting my truck when it sits for a week. I dont get the rough idle like you are describing tho. I usually prime the lift pump twice before starting and only crank the engine for 3 seconds. Sometimes it starts rite away after doing that but if it dont i just prime it again it fires rite up. I had the dealer do the flash for the hard starting problem a year ago and it didn't fix it. Truck runs great other than that, good mpg even when towing. I also put the transmission in nuetral for 30 seconds before i pull out of the garage to help build line pressure.
