FYI guys, it has to be the same problem 3 times.
Cant be 3 different things, has to be the same problem fixed 3 times in a certain time period(90 days or 6months, something along those lines)

A problem like yours is very rare on a Cummins plus the low number of posts seems to mean 99 percent of the time to add up to a troll . If this is not the case welcome to the site and let us know what we can do to help . I know it is hard to believe but we get people that drive Chevy's and Fords over here all the time trying to spread there pain in what they drive to us . Can you post some pictures of what the turbo looks like and the engine with head off to help us help you and a list of anything that has been added to the engine like boxes . We need to know if this is on a stock truck or modified and what the dealer did last time . Turbo failure have been almost nonexistent on stock trucks and most but not all injector failures have also been on modified trucks . We have a problem , I feel , at the dealers when it comes to warranty work on these trucks because of there dependability , they just do not get much practice and there ability to fix a problem right the first time suffers . We have a great bunch of guys on this site who want to help and the best way is to flood them with good information on your problem , location , pictures , work orders , modifications done and others .

If you decided on a dodge diesel, it most likely was because of the wonderful Cummins engine. The engine didn't all of a sudden become as bad or worse than a Duramax or Powerstroke just because you got a bad one. That is tantamount to someone who finds just carbonated water in their Pepsi can and then declares to everyone that they are switching to Coke on the SOLE BASIS that Pepsi is the worst manufacturer in the world and that it is sad that for $1 a can, they can't get it right!

I hope he is real, but there is deffinitely the whiff of troll about him!

Awesome.

Well don't let it discourage you. Cummins has had a solid reputation and it seems like you have just had a case of bad luck. If this were something like an 03/04 6.0 Ford it wouldn't be luck, it'd be "buy something else that doesn't have a history of flaws" or something like that. If you can lemon it and get another one we guarentee it would be problem free.

Sorry Chevy Boy, just callin it like I see it.

Sorry if I offended you, but two compaints and no positive input = troll.

I wouldn't necessarily call him a troll. Some people just don't feel the need to be active posting there opinions on everything and/or don't have any questions that need to be answered. I mean he does drive a Cummins and I think it's our duty to help him rather than give him crap. I posted a couple times after signup, but it wasn't until a few months later that I got more and more active.

Sorry guys . I was just trying to see if pettle would pop out of his shell and give us a little more info about his truck. The last time it happened he never let us know what was resolved.

Blown injectors and turbos are an embarrasment to any auto manufacturer, as well with any Cummins owner. We all know we have a great motor in our trucks, and when we see someone post a complaint with no resolution it looks suspicious.

Pettle and usernames taken don't bother to fill out their profile so we have no idea who they are or what ther intensions are when joining this forum.

usernames taken has a Duramax in his sig, obviously he wants people to see this,.....hello, your a chevy boy. I'm not being a jerk, just rattling your cage. I guess you'll never see this, cuz I'm on your ignore list.

Anyway, welcome to the forum and again, this was merely a poke at pettle to come out and give us more detail.

Nothing to be sorry for , in fact you appear to have been right . When he first posted I also smelled troll just on the oddity of a turbo and injectors going together and then twice . If a turbo goes I can not see any way that it could also take out the injectors or the other way around . Finally after many years of junk Chevy has got someone to produce them a good diesel and the guys who went through all that pain can't help themselves but to brag in there very shallow way . The lack of any evidence to support his claim spells troll until he can produce some , but he has seemed to vanished back under his make believe rock .

What is this site coming to??

It's pretty obvious that the dealer never replaced the glow plugs the first time this happened!

You guys just take all the fun out of watching the trolls spin uncontrollably into their own demise.

Now you guys just blast them at the door! You are just no fun at all!!
