How do you know if you have bad injectors

 

here is the deal I bought a wrecked 05 and r&r'd it but the motor from day one when reved in nutural would stay at 2000 rpm and not come down I had a chrysler tech scan it and he had never seen this before there were no codes and the intercooler was clean with no oil in it so the engine was not running on engine oil The next step was he used the darbi scaner and did the injector performance test and it came beck as #3-4 as only being at 77%and 84%ish has any one had this before and could the suspicion of a leeking injector be true or has any body found any thing else There is no problem elctricaly the tech said

if your not driving it everyday i would pull the injectors and send them out to ddp or f1 and have the injectors tested. i know the 04- and early 04.5 had problems with injector bodies cracking when a pressure box was ran on them put they tend to pour diesel into the crank case.

 

no there is no oil dolution and it does not smoke at all

 

If you are interested here is the latest I did what the mechanic sugested and capped off #3 injector line at rail an at injector then started it up it ran fine aside from the obvious miss then I reved it up and held it for a second and wouldn't you know the thing idled down right on glad to see that was all it was so I guess it is off to price injectors
