I'm selling the 03 to my son. Bought an 05 SLT today with 10000km on it. On the old truck when you push the button on the shifter in, it says OD off. On this one it says "tow haul mode". Is it the same as just switching out of OD on the 03?(My brother's 06 says tow haul, then if you push it in twice, it says od off. The 05 is just in od, or tow haul)

you cant lock out the OD on the 05 it just changes the shift points and the computer puts it in OD when it wants to or takes it out. I know it sucks

How is it for towing in the mountains? Do you just leave it in tow haul, or do you have it in regular drive in the flat sections, then change to tow haul in the hills? Is it really that bad?? When I drove the 03 around town at slower speeds, I always took it out of OD. Do I just drive it in towhaul when I'm driving in town now??
