My truck dont smoke not black not much white! Friend of mine says this is not right? His 04 blows thick black smoke.

 

Are you saying you want smoke? Put on a VA C3.2, turn it to the high setting, step on the throttle, you will get smoke. Toss an EZ on and get a little more.

 

I think your friend is the one that has a problem. A stock 600 shouldnt blow "thick black smoke". It seems most people just get a small grey puff when you get on it w/ no boost

I wouldnt worry. If you really want the smoke, there's plenty of things you can do

 

hah, buddy of mine with a 2000 7.3 has a chip, and he always just womps on the go pedal and gets THICK black smoke.. heh.. btw this is after not letting the engine warm up at all "in middle of winter"

lol he loves that truck and hes beat the living crap out of it, and not a single problem yet \\

now mines all stock and i can womp on it all day and i can tell you that i get NO smoke... which I am happy with but you know.. i always wanted to get some smoke but i got the warranty so no mods for me for... a looonggg time....

 

put a bullydog power pup on it and it will smoke more than you want

My 04.5 would not produce any black smoke either. New Juice/Attitude on Extreme will pump out real BLACK smoke until the turbo spools up and catches up with the fuel.

 

I've got an EZ and no smoke... I don't exactly want real thick obnoxious smoke... but dangit I'd like to get something out of it when I stand on it.

I just looked on here real quick (search was up) and saw the VA 3.1 is a pressure ox and the 3.2 is timing and duration. The EZ is just a pressure isn't it and that's why not smoke? Nevermind, I read further there and it's duration only...

I'm sure there are sponsers on here that carry it... can anyone leave me some links to it as well as anything else that may come in handy for my CTD? (had computer cleaned and lost all favs)

 

My 03 doesn't kick out any black smoke. Don't want it either.

 

guys he has a BD dual turbo kit, really gonna need some serious fuel to make that smoke, 100 hp injectors and a duration box should kill the mosquitos.

 

I don't get it fellas...why would anyone want "thick black smoke"? All that is is unburnt fuel...wasted fuel...pollution...no real power advantage...etc. The idea of the CRD is to atomize the fuel for better overall combustion/power/MPG/emissions and whatever else you can think of. I'm all about HP...hell, I'm making almost 500HP out of a 231ci V6 pump gas motor, but the smoke thing confuses me....I must be getting old???
