04 Dodge Cummins losing fuel pressure when it warms up

I need help. I have a 04 Dodge Cummins that has no power and was shutting off after it warmed up. Putting it on the scanner cold it is asking for 5000 psi and gets 5000 psi. As it warms up you can sit there and watch the pressure slowly decrease (still asking for 5000 psi) until it drops around 3000 psi and the engine shuts off. I replaced the lift pump with an air dog and have a rock solid 17 psi continuous at the cp3 pump. Replaced the CP3 pump still the same. Unpluged the fuel pressure regulator on the common rail, pressure defaults and then as it warms up continues to drop until the engine shuts off. Shut down each injector with the scanner and still the same result. Can anyone shed some light. Thanks

Did you replace the FCA when you put the new CP3 on?

I know the feeling, it sucks spending money on parts that don't solve the problem.

Reset and retorque the injector cross over tubes. Thats a classic symptom of them being loose. You may just get away with a retorque but it could have some wear on the tube tip that needs worked down with scotch brite or fine emory cloth.

This could also be an injector problem or rail pressure relief issue. Have you run an injector return test to see where they are at? Have you checked the PRV to see if it is popping to soon?

IMO, check your PRV and verify it is good, then retorque your inector tubes. Ater that run an injector return test.

Got it fixed

Just wanted to close the loop on my post. After replacing the FCA, Lift Pump(with an Air Dog), CP3 pump it turned out that No1 Injector had a crack in it and now it runs great.

What's your oil level like? Usually you end up in need of an oil change after a cracked body.
