03 valve seat problems
#2
get a pyrometer to sleep well while driving
Your cylinder head is cast metal and the valve seats are forged hard metal rings. Both of them have different rates of expansion and contraction. The seats are jammed tightly into the head (interference fit. Seats are slightly bigger than the bore hole that they are pressed into). When you increase your cylinder head temps by lugging your motor, the cylinder head expands faster then the hardened seats, that lets the seats fall out which holds a valve open and there you go, piston broke. So get a pyro. Good luck.
