2003 6 speed Clutch will not engage. It appears the rear main seal is leaking. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this issue, and what is likely to need replacing. I am figuring a new seal, but don't know if the clutch will still be okay or not. Truck has about 100k on it currently, clutch was not slipping prior to current issue.

 

how is the slave cylinder?

 

slave is fine, I could feel the clutch catch and then slip when I engaged it.

 

i hope i get some kind of warning when mine goes out., so yours will not grab at all?

 

Completly oil soaked and glazed...
Get the seal fixed and install a complete clutch kit...

 

that's kind of what I was thinking. Unfortunately I don't have the equipment/time to do the job myself, so I am calling around in the morning for estimates. Anybody know what the typical cost is on the labor side of the job?
