03/04.5 injector commonalities
#34
Thanks for all the info - and the answer I was looking for. CTD03, I think my initial wording was a bit ambiguous - sorry if my first post was confusing as to what I'm trying to do with the nozzle swap. Will be sure to post a follow-up after the swap for more confirmation on, specifically, swapping 04.5-07nozzles onto 03 injector bodies and installing them in an 04.5 CTD.
I have more questions re. the differences in the 03's and 04.5-07 injectors and why, but I think I've caused enough trouble for now. So I'll .... Thanks again!

Follow-up
Finally got the time to get the project done that started this thread. In short, swapping 04.5 injector tips onto 03 injector bodies works fine - truck runs great, and the "overfueling" issue is done. Normal daily and freeway driving, really can't tell much of a difference with the F2s gone, just less smoke!
Of course, the difference is definitely felt when I romp it hard - still plenty quick for me, but not what she was.
Thanks again to all for the advice.
