Stalling in 3rd and fouth gear????

well here is the deal i have an 05 dodge ram 3500, i have the six speed manual trans and have put in a stage 2 cold air intake and have it strieght piped, thats all i have done to it but i have been noticed that i get a stall in thired gear right about 2500 rpms, to 3000 rpms but it cuts out and then comes right back to normal, it seems to be spooling fine and i dont see any smoke or anything it happens in fouth gear too but not nearly as much. I have changed my fuel filter and oil and no change there. Any ideas?????

I also get a wine every once in a while with the breack booster lines??? i dunno if it could be related or not but thought i would throw that out there.

You need to check your lift pump pressure and your rail pressure. Do you have a boost gauge?

Agree.. I would have guessed fuel filter.. but since that has already been changed the fuel pump would be next item to check. When my pump failed I changed filter and because I have large spin on filter truck only ran for a minute because spin on filter was not being primed by pump and truck could not suck fuel from the tank..
My guess is the fuel pump has died on you..

A good scanner will give you the rail pressure, but the lift pump pressure has no sensor so you will have to put a mechanical gauge on it.
