Smoking Really Badly

I have 129,000 miles on the truck. This past winter had all new injectors and a new injection pump installed, along with an Edge with Attitude programmer. Shortly there after I changed the oil, opting for Royal Purple Full Synthetic. The place I ordered it from noted that they were out of 15W 40 but had 10W 40 that would work just as fine. After changing the oil I found that the truck now has A LOT of smoke (so much so that a COP pulled me over to issue a repair order only to give me a break since I am military with out of state tags). My thought is that the Royal Purple Synthetic did a thorough job cleaning out the engine, so much so that the synthetic's finer molecular properties are able to get around the rings causing the smoke. I just changed the oil again (after only 4 weeks) switching back to standard (NON-synthetic) oil instead, thinking that was my problem (smoke didn't start until the original switch). However, the smoke has NOT stopped. Any ideas?

I should have included: 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with a Cummins 5.9L.

That is why I am here...

Ok, great question. Should have mentioned that. It is Definiately NOT Black Smoke. I'd say it is either White or Blue. It isn't white as if it is steam. But it is White with a kind of has a bluish hue to it. I have also started to notice a rattle up front. It sounds as if it is from the front passenger side of the engine compartment. Would it start smoking if the turbo was about to (or has) give out?

Possible FCA, had truck in shop other day with same issue from another shop that had replaced all injectors and CP3 pump less the FCA. Monitor the fuel pressure at the rail, should be close to the set point pressure, if the pressure fluxtuates more then 500 psi then replace the FCA. Here is the part #05183245AA The rattle noise is a red flag for a failed FCA, check for any code stored if DTC P0251 is stored that will confirm FCA -CP3 PUMP REGULATOR CONTROL. I would not drive truck like that you could do much damage to injectors and pistons from very high fuel pressures.

First off you need to get the right oil in the truck.

Type of oil

I should have elaborated. When I changed back to traditional motor oil (from the synthetic) I also put in 15W 40. Thanks for asking.

codes

Truck is showing the following codes: 0573, 0483, 0513. as far as I can tell these touch on a variety of systems. These include the cruise control (which is inoperable) and something with the fan (I can not determine 0513's meaning).

Would you also get a bucking or surging from a bad fca? At low rpm i should add.

Any thoughts about possibly a bad turbocharger being the problem vice the FCA? Have not detected any bucking or surging....
