Hard Starting issues

So my 03 won't fire up on anything but either ( which i hate ) but runs strong after its running. put it on a scanner and checked all fuel pressures. just installed an airdog lift pump thats pumping at a solid 20lbs. cranking high pressure is about 1100, idle is about 8.5k, crusing noramlly its about 15k and a peak of almost 21k at a 3rd to 4th sift at 3grand. immidatly after shut off the truck will start but its 5-8 seconds of crank before it slowly rattles to life. Once it is restarted the scanner was reading 0psi, with the truck running. a trouble shooting guide in the scanner said that more 15lbs from the lift pump will cause hard start, true?

I remember reading somewhere that vp-44 trucks have some starting issues with high LP pressures but our cp3 trucks are a different animal. If the cp3 doesn't make pressure the truck will not fire.

hhmmm...it runs after started on the spray can which would lead me to believe the pump is building pressure. Possibly the fuel rail is leaking back somehow?

Kinda has me a little stumped but I'd almost bet the farm that someone on here knows exactly whats wrong. Just give it some time....you will find your answer as there are tons of knowledgeable folks here!

That is a new one for me. I've got probably 115k miles so far at 20# LP and almost 210k miles total. Time for you and I to send our injectors to F1 for re-tipping, testing and service. I'm just 75 miles to your north and love my '03, even rowing in traffic.
