Question Windshield wiper delay, etc

I've seen a post or 2 on this but I'm trying to pinpoint the problem so I can replace the correct part.
Basically, when I first got the truck, when shutting the wipers off they would remain halfway on the window..
NOW, when I put them on delay they don't work at all, they only work on high or low.

I've heard something about the connectors being dirty and causing this issue.. How do I get to them?

Thanks!

I have a problem that when I turn the wipers on, it stays on intermitnet for a few swipes. Then I hear a click under the dash when a intermitant cycle starts and it stays on low. When I turn it off, the wiper continues on low and stops a second or 2 after it is off and stops anywhere it wants.

I was pointed in the intermitant wiper box under the steering colum. I am not sure if this is it or not, due to I have not replaced it yet. But, this Utah spring has me on the edge of going to pick 'n' pull. I am not sure what the box looks like. Or, if it has a label. I don't know if it is your problem. Just something to think about.

On my 98 it's the same box that the door buzzer is in, I unplugged mine when my sending unit was going out so I wouldn't have to listen to it chime at me everytime that I came to a stop. When I unplugged it the intermitent function would not work(just low and high). Hope that helps
